The grand tradition of Afternoon Tea continues to this day at Woughton House Hotel. Whether you live in the area and plan to enjoy Afternoon Tea with friends or want a unique and memorable experience during your visit to Milton Keynes, we invite you to join us for The Duchess Afternoon Tea. We serve Afternoon Tea in Milton Keynes from 12:00 to 17:00, every day of the week.

The tradition of Afternoon Tea originated during the reign of Queen Victoria when the 7th Duchess of Bedford began the afternoon tea ritual in her home. Her influential position in society led to the establishment of this quintessentially English tradition. The tradition has flourished and waned at different periods of history, and Afternoon Tea is currently enjoying an increase in popularity.

Our Afternoon Tea features an assortment of Twinings teas and a bit of bubbly. The menu includes a variety of finger sandwiches, such as cucumber, ham, roast beef, and salmon. Indulge your sweet tooth with a selection of decadent sweet treats and fresh, home baked scones made from a traditional recipe.
